With a strong commitment to learner success and community development, the organisation works with a wide range of individuals, employers, and partner organisations to create positive and lasting outcomes.

Role Overview

The Learning Engagement Officer will play a key role in engaging learners, promoting training opportunities, and supporting the overall learner journey. You will work closely with internal teams, referral partners, and local communities to identify potential learners, raise awareness of available courses, and provide guidance to ensure a smooth transition into learning.

This is a vital front-line role that requires a proactive, people-focused approach and a passion for supporting individuals to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Key Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with referral agencies, community organisations, and local employers to generate learner interest. Organise and attend outreach events, community drop-ins, and promotional activities. Support potential learners with course information, enrolment processes, and initial assessments. Collaborate with delivery and learner support teams to ensure a seamless learner journey from enrolment to completion. Maintain accurate records of engagement activities, enquiries, and learner interactions. Contribute to marketing campaigns and learner recruitment strategies. Provide feedback and insights to help shape future course offerings and engagement approaches.

Desirable:

Knowledge of the local community and employment/training landscape in the North East. Experience working in the education, employability, or voluntary sectors. Level 2 (or above) in Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG).
