MIG Welder

Tranquil Talent Group are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading UK-based sheet metal fabrication company located in Chilton, County Durham. This client specialises in precision metal work.  

Pay: £16.80 per hour

Hours: 2 shift pattern (days, lates)  

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols without assistance.
• Working with various material types and thicknesses, ranging from 0.9mm to 5mm mild steel, 1mm to 10mm aluminium, and 1mm to 3mm stainless steel.
• Working freehand as well as using jigs and fixtures to achieve high-quality welds.

Essential Experience

• A minimum of 12 months of welding experience in a sheet metal or similar environment is essential.
• Competent reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Ability to handle a variety of tasks and materials, demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness.
• Team player, collaborative mindset, contributing to a cohesive and productive team environment.
