Partnerships & Business Growth Officer

Tranquil Talent Group are seeking a Partnership & Growth Officer to join their long term client based in the Sunderland area.

The Partnerships & Business Growth Officer will support the clients growth by identifying new opportunities, developing bids, strengthening partnerships, and raising organisational visibility. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the role helps increase learner recruitment, retention, and progression.

Travel across the North East required; full driving licence and access to a vehicle essential.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and support new business, funding, and growth opportunities aligned with strategic goals. Assist with the development of bids, tenders, and funding proposals. Build and maintain strong partnerships with referral agencies, employers, and community organisations. Generate leads, attend networking events, and promote the client across the region. Coordinate engagement activities and employer opportunities for learners. Monitor sector trends, labour market information, and performance data to support service improvement. Collaborate with internal teams to align business development with programme delivery.

Person Specification

Experience in business development, partnerships, employer engagement, or a related role. Strong communication, relationship-building, and networking skills. Organised, proactive, and able to use data to inform decisions. Passionate about community impact and supporting people into learning and employment.

Desirable: experience in employability or skills sectors, knowledge of funding streams, and understanding of the North East labour market

Salary: £30,000-£32,000 D.O.E
